Grace is based in the North West and is due to complete her studies for a Postgraduate Diploma in Law in May 2024 before embarking on the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.
Before joining Counterculture, Grace gained experience in a diverse array of non-profit sectors, from frontline response to the opioid crisis in Vancouver, Canada, to the provision of the largest, nationwide social development programme for young people in the UK, collecting direct experience in how non-profits can positively impact society as well as at a more strategic level in operations and business development.
Grace has had a long-standing love of reading and writing poetry, gaining the only first class award from Loughborough University’s Poet in Residence, Helen Calcutt, for her final creative writing portfolio, ‘A Silent Riptide’, during her English BA in 2017. Her dissertation focused on the conveyance of pain through image, specifically in media portrayals of the Abu Ghraib abuse scandal in 2003.
