Graham is a VAT consultant who provides VAT and Charity Tax advice to advisors, businesses, charities and private individuals.

His three key areas of expertise fall into charities of all kinds, property, and international services.  Graham has a wide range of charity clients, many of which operate in the culture space, and involve sophisticated fundraising programmes or venues/buildings, educational activities, and membership schemes.  He is also in demand for advice to religious and animal welfare charities.  He frequently advises on the rules relating to gift aid alongside all the VAT issues faced by charities.

Graham’s services include negotiation with HMRC, strategic review, training and procedures review, transaction support and ad hoc queries.

Graham has over 35 years VAT experience and over 30 years as a specialist adviser.  He is the technical advisor to Charity Tax Group.  He has experience in both accountancy and law practices and is in demand as a public speaker.  Graham has written for Accountancy Magazine for over 25 years and also writes for Tax Journal.

His recent culture sector clients include Royal Academy of Arts, V&A, London Symphony Orchestra, Chatham Historic Dockyard, and Royal Airforce Museum.  He is also a practicing amateur musician and has served for 13 years on the trustee board of a classical music charity.
