Alix is an expert in the management of capital projects in the arts and heritage sectors. Her work encompasses the adaptation and conservation of historic buildings, interpretation of collections, and business and strategic planning.
Before working for Counterculture, Alix was the Project Director for the £41m refurbishment of the National Portrait Gallery, Project Director for the £20m Bath Abbey Footprint Project and Project Manager for the National Trust delivering a range of conservation, refurbishment, and new build projects. She is experienced in the management of projects from inception to handover, and has led on the submission of numerous successful funding bids, including to the National Lottery Heritage fund.
Alix has a BA in Archaeology and History from the University of Cambridge, a Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying from the University of the West of England, the AMPM Qualification from the Association of Project Management and was a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors between 2007 and 2022.
