Andrew has worked for over 30 years in cross sector roles including culture, events, academia and politics. He specialises in policy research, international development and transnational cultural collaboration. He applies his research and policy work through additional roles within the global events sector, as a PhD researcher at Music Futures, Campaign & Commercial consultant for Attitude is Everything, and Senior Academic at the University of Gloucestershire. He is a trustee for Youth Music, a member of the Ivors Jazz Council and creative director of UnMute – an artist agency exclusively for disabled artists.

In 2022 he established The Very Good Solutions Company, a neurodivergent consultancy agency working across culture, business and politics. Clients include significant cultural organisations such as Glastonbury and Cheltenham Festivals, and national programmes including the UK Green Events Code of Practice (GECoP) pilot. Internationally, he advises governments, trade bodies, national membership organisations and research clusters to address complex, overlapping economic challenges, bringing together policy research and project delivery across creative ecosystems.

In his spare time performs as double bassist with Thrill Collins.
