Andrew Ruffler

Associate

Originally from the Wirral, Andrew is a senior leader and consultant working at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and place. A University of Sheffield graduate, he has over 15 years’ experience leading organisations and programmes across enterprise, net zero and the built environment, with a career including key roles at Sustainable Ventures, Professional Liverpool, and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Andrew has worked across the North West, building an impressive professional network in both Greater Manchester and the Liverpool City Region. He has launched innovation hubs, delivered funded programmes, and supported high-performing teams to drive economic growth through climate-tech, enterprise, and collaboration. He is regularly invited to sit on regional boards and steering groups, shaping strategy at the interface of policy and innovation.

Equally at home in a boardroom or supporting founders on the ground, Andrew combines strategic insight with practical delivery. He is passionate about building more inclusive, sustainable local economies.

Outside of work, Andrew’s usually hunting down jazz records on vinyl, watching Tranmere Rovers, or exploring cities—he’s especially drawn to the streets, culture and everyday life of Europe’s more walkable, characterful places.
