Catherine is an independent curator, consultant, arts commissioner, producer and writer based in London. She has over 25 years’ experience working in museums, galleries and public sector arts organisations in the UK and abroad. She is a skilled leader and has held senior curatorial and executive director positions in major institutions, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, Barbican Art Gallery London, ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, Denmark, and the British Council.

Catherine started her career working independently for public and commercial clients, government, and local authorities, as well as architecture and design studios. A strategic and visionary curator and museum professional, Catherine is highly networked nationally and internationally. She is motivated by leading talented, interdisciplinary teams to achieve artistic, curatorial and organisational goals. Committed to developing and delivering unique projects of the highest quality through best practice, collaboration and inventive thinking. Adept at working with senior stakeholders including Boards, political and local government leaders, funders, academic and community partners.

In 2018 Catherine was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). She is currently on the Board of Trustees of The Cosmic House and Jencks Foundation; and is a former trustee of the Architecture Foundation, London, and the Stanley Picker Gallery and Dorich House Museum. She has lectured and taught internationally and contributed to design juries in the UK and Switzerland.
