David is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of senior finance experience in a variety of organisations and industries. He has been a highly commercial and practical holder of several CFO roles, particularly within SMEs with a focus on both growth and challenging environments. David has worked with several private equity funds as well as in listed companies and privately owned businesses. Consequently he fully recognises the requirements for good governance practice. David has been through the process of acquiring, and disposing of businesses many times, seeing through the whole cycle from identification to integration, in addition to raising the necessary finance, with deal sizes from £1 to over £100m.
He has worked with several businesses to establish reliable and timely information reporting, which in turn has then enabled both short-term focus and longer-term planning of strategic direction.
David has worked though several difficult cash and working capital situations and is experienced in unlocking sources of cash within a business, as well as looking to secure alternative sources of finance for trading and development purposes.
