Deborah Hale MBE has over 25 years’ experience in campaign marketing and event production.
After several years spent promoting the creative industry, she became Head of International Marketing for London, running high profile campaigns throughout the UK, China, Russia and India. This included the Mayoral trip to India in 2007 (47 events across three cities in six days) and London’s presence in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. This led to her role as Producer of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays, in charge of what would become one of the UK’s largest public engagement campaigns.
She was awarded an MBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List. Following this she moved to Facebook as Marketing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. As an independent consultant, she has worked for numerous commercial and non profit organisations such as BBC Children in Need, the Global Goals, Selfridges and Clydesdale Bank. She also completed a four-year term as Trustee of Seeability, previously the Royal School for the Blind. When not working, she is a keen gardener, having completed a RHS Garden Design course.
