Ihitashri is an award-winning creative leader, entrepreneur, and cultural advocate with over two decades of experience at the intersection of crafts, culture, and global programme delivery. She is also a 2019–20 Clore Leadership Fellow under the Chevening programme.
She is the founder of MITHILAsmita, an Indian artisan enterprise empowering rural women to access national and international markets, which is now launched in the UK as ArtNHer London and is supported by 10 Downing Street under Free Trade Agreement.
Ihitashri has led high-profile cultural partnerships with institutions such as the British Museum, Tate, and UK–India Dosti Festival. Her work spans cultural diplomacy, programme design, operational leadership, and strategic collaboration, always with a focus on equity, inclusion, and sustainable impact. Recognised with a UN award and appointed as a UN Women mentor, Ihitashri brings global experience, entrepreneurial insight, and a people-centred leadership approach, committed to nurturing creativity, innovation, and inclusive cultural ecosystems worldwide.
