Associate

Jayne’s freelance career spans corporate, third sector and creative/cultural.  She creates strategies, purpose led interventions, and the resources to make it happen.  She is an advocate for sustainability and ground up interventions.  Twenty years ago, she created a significant place based project – an arts collective and gallery/start up retail space which still exists under a new name.

As a senior consultant she has worked with the textiles, clothing, leather and footwork sectors, Unesco Global Geoparks, DRA, Creative Skillset, British Footwear Association, European Confederation of Footwear, UKFT, the British Fashion Council, as well as a consortia of local authorities, numerous creative and cultural agencies and regional agencies.  She has extensive experience in national/ international skills strategies and pilot projects and has worked on organisational/ business development/ planning and large scale bids.  During Covid she worked with Six Till Six, the UK’s leading Night Time Economy consultancy on almost £10m cultural recovery fund support for venues and cultural activity.

She is a champion for solopreneurship, which now represents a third of the UK workforce and is a significant factor for GDP and (non) employment, social and economic policies.  She works with many micro entities.  She is know to be able to ask the sometimes necessary difficult questions of all stakeholders that are often essential for progress and has been asked to trouble shoot projects that have stalled.

In her spare time, Jayne enjoys taking photographs.
