Karen has over 20 years’ experience in the accountancy profession, working as a tax practitioner for Big 4 accountancy firms, as a sole practitioner specialising in arts and cultural organisations, and more recently as a finance manager implementing financial management & reporting structures for third sector organisations.
Karen has developed expertise in non-profit finance and governance particularly within the cultural sector and currently also works with Manchester City Galleries, the Royal Exchange Theatre, and Quarantine.
Karen has considerable experience of developing and implementing reporting systems that provide meaningful financial information to management and Trustees, as well as an understanding of the annual compliance requirements of charitable organisations.
Karen holds an ACA & CIOT accounting qualification.
