Lucy is a Chartered Accountant and has specialised in the Charity sector since completing her exams in 2005. She has audited a number of well-known charities, including RSPCA and Comic Relief as well as a number of arts and education-based charities. She has also carried out internal audit reviews for a number of higher education establishments.
Lucy has previously worked for Counterculture in the Finance Team for our Senior Partner and Lead Contact of Finance, Amanda Hall. During her time at Counterculture, Lucy carried out a number of Independent Examinations following the ACIE standards. She also prepared the accounts for a number of not-for-profit organisations and charities, ensuring that they are not only presented in a format that was compliant with the SORP, but also provided to potential funders a clear understanding of the charities’ finances.
Lucy has previously worked as a Finance Manager at The Children’s Trust, where she led the finance team and ensured systems and controls were operating effectively. During her time at The Children’s Trust she was responsible for implementing a new purchasing and procurement system across the site.
Lucy is fully conversant with several financial reporting packages including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent. She carries out bookkeeping for several clients using these packages.
