Marijke Steedman is a curator, researcher and consultant working across contemporary art, museums and heritage, cultural organisations, local government and higher education. She has held senior strategic roles developing cultural programmes, partnerships, policy and organisational change, and has worked with artists, communities and public bodies to develop ambitious cultural projects and strategies. Her experience includes New Town Culture and programmes at V&A East, Whitechapel Gallery, Tate and Create London, as well as contributing to local government policy and service development across culture and wider civic and social priorities. Her work spans research, evaluation, commissioning, programme and organisational development, with a particular interest in how creative practice can work across cultural, civic and social contexts. She is a published writer and educator and was a trustee of Cubitt Gallery and Artist Studios.
