Michael’s background includes decades of performance/touring, production/music direction, songwriting, and teaching. Clients and collaborators have included Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Elvis Costello, Anne-Sofie von Otter, Shawn Colvin, Victoria Williams, Thea Gilmore, Hugh Laurie, and many more.
He has worked on projects with a Beatle, a Stone, and a Kink. As well as legendary beat poets, photographers, and theatre directors.
Michael also serves as a creative consultant, communication/networking coach, and event presenter. Helping artists, companies, and organisations identify, express, and amplify their true purpose. And he creates structured action plans using storytelling, concept-building assignments, and empathy exercises.
Consulting clients and collaborators have included The Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Polar Music Prize, Jeunesses Musicales International, the South by Southwest conference, Export Music Sweden, regional arts agencies and education organisations in the Nordics, Europe, UK, and US.
