Zoe is an experienced cultural sector professional with over 15 years’ fundraising from public bodies, trust and foundations, businesses and individuals. She has a broad understanding of the strategic issues facing the UK cultural sector and the national and international fundraising landscape, as well as the practicalities of running a charitable organisation and managing key partner-relationships.
Prior to Counterculture, Zoe held the position of Development Officer at Whitechapel Gallery, where she held responsibility for T&F and corporate fundraising for the gallery’s contemporary art exhibition programme and learning activities. At Counterculture Zoe has undertaken the roles of Acting Head of Development at Tate Liverpool, interim Deputy Director at Gasworks/Triangle Network and Fundraising and Senior Fundraiser at The Postal Museum and Mail Rail during their £18.6 million capital campaign.
Zoe has worked extensively with arts and heritage organisations, including festivals and awards, to develop and deliver fundraising strategies for National College Creative Industries, Lakeland Arts, London Festival of Architecture and Artes Mundi amongst others.
Zoe holds a PGDip in Contemporary Art History from Goldsmith College. She is a Trustee of Open School East, an independent arts school and community space focused on collective learning through the arts.
