Alex is a project manager with experience of delivering and managing sustainable lifelong learning and community engagement projects within the arts, culture, museum and heritage sectors. She has a strong track record of working in community development with a wide range of groups and volunteers in the charity and third sector and is founding director of Curiosity Creative CIC, a community interest company specialising in Digital Storytelling, oral history and heritage interpretation.

Alex has been project managing The Geordie Guide to Happiness, a digital inclusion project which has been engaging participants from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the ancient art of storytelling through the modern medium of podcasting. She has also worked with The Churches Conservation Trust, The National Trust, English Heritage, Newcastle City Libraries, Northumberland NHS Trust, The National Glass Centre and Great North Run Culture.

Alex also has experience of working within the museum and heritage sector in the North East of England, working for ten years in community outreach at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums where she coordinated the ground breaking Digital Storytelling project “Culture Shock!”. She has a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Liverpool and a MA in Museum Studies from Newcastle University.
