Alex is an experienced museum professional and project manager with a special interest in working in the cultural and creative sectors. She has over ten years of experience in working on projects of various scales with museums, designers and artists to develop new exhibitions and displays through to new cultural institutions and capital projects. Her most recent experience has been with the V&A where, as Project Director, she managed the delivery of a new gallery in Shenzhen China as part of a consultancy agreement with China Merchants Group, the Pavilion of Applied Arts at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Scottish Design Galleries at V&A Dundee. Previously Alex has worked for the National Portrait Gallery, Science Museum, National Museums Liverpool and Museum of London.
She has worked with numerous artists and photographers including Do Ho Suh for the Venice Biennale, and Ori Gersht, Donovan Wylie and Jane and Louise Wilson for projects at Imperial War Museums. Alex brings a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm to the management of creative projects, and is a strong believer in the power of culture to connect people and audiences.
