Alex is an experienced museum professional and project manager with a special interest in working in the cultural and creative sectors. She has over ten years of experience in working on projects of various scales with museums, designers and artists to develop new exhibitions, new cultural institutions and capital projects. Current projects include project consultancy and management for the new National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, and the Pavilion of Applied Arts for La Biennale di Venezia.
Before joining Counterculture, Alex was Project Director at the V&A, where she managed the delivery of a new gallery in Shenzen China as part of a consultancy agreement with China Merchants Group, as well as working on the opening of the Scottish Design Galleries at V&A Dundee. Previously Alex has worked for the National Portrait Gallery, Science Museum, National Museums Liverpool and Museum of London.
She has worked on installations for artists and photographers including Do Ho Suh for the Venice Biennale, and Ori Gersht, Donovan Wylie and Jane and Louise Wilson. Alex brings a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm to the management of creative projects, and is a strong believer in the power of culture to connect people and audiences.
