Amanda is an experienced finance and business manager with particular expertise in non-profit finance and governance, as well as being an accomplished team leader.
Amanda’s work includes business planning, finance and management consultancy. Amanda currently provides interim finance director level support for a number of clients including Collective Act, University of Salford Students Union, Brigantia Creative, Babylon Arts, Smart School Councils and the Oxford House in Bethnal Green. In addition, Amanda has worked as a consultant with clients including Sunderland Culture, Leeds 2023, East End Women’s Museum, Arts Council England, Creswell Crags Museum, Your Trust and Chiswick House & Gardens Trust.
Amanda has developed and implemented financial reporting systems for a number of organisations and provided training and ongoing support for clients. She is a Xero Accredited Partner and is also proficient in the use of Sage, Quickbooks and FreeAgent.
Prior to joining Counterculture Amanda spent over 10 years at Lakeland Arts, where, as Director of Finance and Operations she was instrumental in a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the development of a new museum on the shores of Windermere – ‘Windermere Jetty’ – which opened in 2019. As well as leading on finance, Amanda also led on Lakeland Arts’ HR, commercial activities and facilities, including the conservation of two Grade I listed buildings.
Amanda was raised in rural England and is currently based in the Lake District. She is an animal lover and is a trustee of her local rescue centre where she also acts as Chair of a capital project subcommittee.
