Amanda is an experienced finance and business manager with particular expertise in non-profit finance and governance.
Amanda’s work includes business planning, finance and management consultancy. Amanda currently provides ongoing finance support for a number of clients including the Royal Literary Fund, Handel Hendrix House, University of Salford Students Union, Mahogany Opera, Brigantia Creative, Smart School Councils and the Oxford House in Bethnal Green. In addition, Amanda has supported projects including Banksy’s Cut & Run Exhibition, Collective Act’s Dreamachine and Leeds 2023.
Amanda has developed and implemented financial reporting systems for a number of organisations and provided training and ongoing support for clients. She is a Xero Accredited Partner and an ApprovalMax Certified Partner.
Prior to joining Counterculture Amanda spent over 10 years at Lakeland Arts as Director of Finance and Operations where she was instrumental in a successful bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund for the development of a new museum on the shores of Windermere – ‘Windermere Jetty’ – which opened in 2019. As well as leading on finance, Amanda also led on Lakeland Arts’ HR, commercial activities and facilities, including the conservation of two Grade I listed buildings.
Amanda is a trustee of Studio Voltaire, one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit arts and education organisations which champions emerging and under-represented artists.
