David is a Chartered Accountant specialising in the financial reporting and scrutiny of charities and not-for-profit entities in the UK. He has twelve years experience working exclusively with third sector clients and a background in financial audit in the Charity team of a City-based practice.

David is a proficient independent examiner of charity (SORP) accounts up to the audit threshold. He can coordinate and execute the preparation of compliant year-end financial statements for a wide range of third sector entities. His core accounting knowledge and experience in mentoring and supporting staff, also leaves him well placed to assist with internal management reporting and the leadership of a charity ’s finance function. David is a competent communicator of complex principles, regularly attending Trustee/Director meetings to discuss finance and compliance related matters.

Clients include social enterprises, fundraising charities, grant-givers, political campaign groups, humans rights advocators, think-tanks, museums, theatres, research charities, youth charities, membership organisations, benevolent societies & others. He holds experience within the state-funded education sector, particularly the accounts & scrutiny requirements of academy trusts, FE colleges & HEIs.

In his spare time David enjoys travelling, language learning, spending time with friends in South West London or with family in Essex.
