Jenny is an experienced arts and cultural leader and manager with expertise in strategy and business planning, financial management and fundraising.  She has substantial stakeholder management experience, including working with a range of key organisations such as: Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, local authorities, universities and conservatoires, arts organisations and funders (national and international).  She has strong knowledge of the arts and cultural sector, and also has experience working with higher education establishments.

Over the years, Jenny has held a number of executive roles, including Executive Director at Derby Theatre (part of the University of Derby’s group), interim Chief Executive at Oldham Coliseum Theatre and Chief Executive of Dance Base (Scotland’s national centre for dance). She has also held key fundraising positions, including Head of Development of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.  Throughout her career Jenny has: led on the strategic management of organisations; created and ensured the effective implementation of business plans; led on financial planning for organisations; contributed towards developing local authority cultural strategies; initiated a range of dance participatory programmes; reviewed business models; worked with teams to deliver international producer placement programmes (with the British Council and Hong Kong Arts Council); and developed and implemented fundraising strategies.

Jenny is Co-Chair of ThickSkin Theatre Company, an award-winning theatre company based in Manchester, and was previously a Trustee of Access All Areas, a leading theatre company for learning disabled artists.  Jenny has BA (hons) in Performing Arts and Music and an MBA in Cultural Management.
