Jo is a strategic brand consultant, with extensive experience of developing brand strategies with precise analysis and original ideas for clients in the cultural and creative sectors. A self-confessed people person, Jo’s approach focuses on motivating and empowering teams to harness the strategic value of brand and clarity of positioning, in order to engage audiences, build profile and generate revenue. Jo has also led brand projects involving renaming, brand architecture and new visual and verbal identities. Jo has an in-depth understanding of the international context for culture, having worked in the US, UK, Russia and across the Nordics. Clients include: Natural History Museum of Denmark, The Arts Society, Pallant House Gallery, Roundhouse, Ateneum Museum of Art in Helsinki and the Ackland Museum of Art in North Carolina. Jo facilitates brand training workshops and master classes and regularly speaks at museum conferences including ‘Communicating the Museum’ and ‘We Are Museums’. Jo was a Director and Senior Consultant at brand consultancy Jane Wentworth Associates for 8 years and now runs her own consultancy Winster Marsh.
