Kate is an experienced and knowledgeable accountant holding an FMAAT qualification. She is currently running a small practice, along with the help of 3 members of staff, in her home town of Kendal.
Kate has a wealth of accounting and leadership experience from working in finance and management accounting roles for over 20 years in industry. Whilst in industry she managed accountancy departments and staff across multiple branches where she specialised in implementing accounting procedures and monthly management reporting packs for directors and owners. As well as leading the departments and cumulating management information, she also played a key role in the introduction and operating of new accounting software and stock management systems.
Kate made the move to incorporate a business in 2015 when the KKAS practice was formed with just Kate alone. KKAS has grown significantly since and now Kate and her team work with clients in a variety of sectors offering services from bookkeeping, management and final accounts to HMRC returns.
Kate offers her time voluntarily as the treasurer of a local women’s networking group and has also previously used her knowledge to teach accounting and the finance element of a business degree course at two local colleges.
