Kate specialises in event management, creative strategy and business development within the creative industries. She has over ten years’ experience working with cultural venues, commercial agencies, live events companies, charities and private clients.

Kate manages the business development and events portfolio for the Counterculture team as well as delivering client work. During her time with Counterculture, Kate has worked on projects including live music tours, a programme of events for the Greater London Authority (GLA), artist management and promotion, business and event development for several cultural venues and stakeholder consultation to inform local authorities for their Cultural Strategies.

Before joining Counterculture, Kate had roles at the ICA, Tyneside Cinema, Northern Stage, Theatre Royal Newcastle, Say Fromage and Centre for Life. She has extensive experience of delivering projects from creative concept through to delivery, working closely and collaboratively with a diverse array of clients. These projects range from managing fashion presentations for London Fashion Week, to delivering live social content from the red carpet of the BAFTAs to coordinating Weddings. Kate also has a strong track record of generating income for charities and arts organisations through developing strategy for an Events Business stream. Past clients include Bruce Springsteen, The Royal Household, BBC and The British Fashion Council.

Kate is a native Northerner but now lives by the sea in Brighton and Hove. Kate is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
