Sam is an experienced development consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the cultural sector. Sam’s roles have included being Head of Development for Lakeland Arts, leading fundraising initiatives across a portfolio of cultural venues, and on the other side of the grant process, working for the National Lottery Heritage Fund within both the grant and development teams. Sam’s wide-ranging portfolio includes raising funds for artistic and learning programmes, heritage projects, community initiatives and large capital projects, including the £17m capital project ‘Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories’.
Sam draws on her experience to provide strategic fundraising support to a wide range of cultural & third sector clients; developing & implementing fundraising strategies, successfully securing capital and revenue funding from a range of sources including individuals, businesses, public bodies, trusts and foundations. She is also currently Fundraising and Grant Manager for DanceSyndrome; a leading inclusive dance charity in the North West.
Sam is passionate about community-led cultural initiatives and making meaningful differences through cultural opportunities. She has a postgraduate MA in Heritage Education and Interpretation.
