Tim’s work with Counterculture includes oversight of our project management work, capital project delivery, business and strategic planning, business case development and commercial projects. Working closely and collaboratively with client teams, Tim’s activities include operational support for the V&A Dundee’s landmark opening and project management of the refurbished Jewellery Gallery at the V&A’s South Kensington site. Tim works regularly with Local Authorities and has delivered several projects for the Greater London Authority (GLA) developing sustainable business models for a range of community-led regeneration schemes and appraising planned projects. Tim enjoys helping organisations professionalise their operations, allowing to them to thrive in challenging times.
Before joining Counterculture, Tim worked at the Postal Museum for over nine years, playing a lead role in its creation, development and opening. Working in a direct delivery role for five years and overseeing many aspects of the £28m capital works, Tim became Deputy Director with responsibility for the organisational transition to the new site and associated organisational change. Tim led the senior leadership team, developed business and commercial plans and coordinated and managed the successful bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. He also led the negotiation of a number of property, commercial and operational legal agreements.
Based in St Albans, Tim completed the Clore Cultural Leadership programme and is an accredited PRINCE 2 Project management professional to Practitioner level. Tim is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and has studied Management & Leadership practices throughout his career to date.
