Wendy has worked broadly across the music industry in record labels, artist management and live events, and supports young people in the performing arts in her home town of Liverpool. She has led on stakeholder consultation for many Counterculture projects and is skilled at engaging with underrepresented groups and communities, ensuring all voices are heard.

Wendy began her career at Gilles Peterson’s seminal Talkin’ Loud record label and has worked with some of the biggest artists and brands in the entertainment world. As Marketing Manager at Universal (Polydor / Interscope) and BMG, Wendy delivered release campaigns and events for Alicia Keys, Lana Del Rey, Pharrell / N.E.R.D, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, The Black Eyed Peas, Beck, 50 Cent and many others. She also collaborated with any brands associated with artists to help deliver and maximise strategic campaigns for both brand and label. As music consultant for Armani Wendy sourced artists for partnerships, curating events at flagship Armani stores in London and Manchester. Wendy has also promoted a series of live shows with Peter Hook & the Light, Sugarhill Gang & the Furious 5, Red Rum Club, Sub Blue, Natalie McCool, The Real People, The Coral and others.

In her role at Rare Studio Wendy collaborated with Jacqui Shi (Rambert), Eugene Skeef (Umoya Creations / Guildhall School of Music and Drama) and the Anthony Walker Foundation on ‘Rise’, a combined music, dance and spoken word production which was launched at Culture Liverpool’s Liverpool Against Racism Festival.

Wendy has a Joint Honours BA in English Literature and Classics from the University of London. She is also undertaking a Masters in Psychotherapy, with a focus on supporting Black mental health in the music industry. She sits on an Inclusion and Diversity process group for MITC (Music Industry Therapists Collective) is mentored by BAATN (the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network), and is a certified coach.
