Counterculture Partnership LLP is delighted to announce that it has successfully completed a merger with Hall & Birtles Solicitors, the North Yorkshire -based firm of solicitors who have a combined experience of sixty years working in the legal profession.
Counterculture is already one of only a handful of fully-regulated law firms who also provide other client services. For the second year running Counterculture has been ranked by Chambers & Partners in their prestigious UK guide as one of the top twenty charity law firms.
Hall & Birtles Solicitors has provided legal advice to clients throughout England and Wales on matters such as residential and commercial property; wills, trusts and probate; together with family matters. Hall & Birtles’ clients have ranged from private individuals, to landed estates, companies, and charities.
The combined businesses will offer existing Hall & Birtles’ clients a comprehensive range of professional services; including business advice, employment law, and accountancy. Meanwhile, Counterculture is now able to supply legal services to individuals to compliment those that have been available to organisations.
Alastair Birtles, who along with Stuart Hall, now becomes a Senior Partner at Counterculture, announced: “We’re thrilled the merger is now official and Hall & Birtles solicitors are now part of Counterculture Partnership LLP.”
“It is important for us to offer a great service to our clients, and we wanted to be able to accommodate all their legal needs. We have always looked for the business to grow and we feel that this merger provides for us to expand our legal expertise together with other varied and exciting opportunities.”
Tom Watson, President of Counterculture, added: “The merger with Hall & Birtles represents an exciting opportunity for Counterculture, meaning we are in a position to offer an enhanced range of services to all of our clients, both new and old. I am, of course, also absolutely delighted to welcome Alastair Birtles and Stuart Hall to the Counterculture team as Senior Partners. We benefit greatly from having their expertise on board.”
